This Way (feat. Souleye)

about

Our musical journey together began with one of my personal favorites, Clarification of Meaning, which was featured on my album, aRose. That track was written on the 5-year anniversary of his brother's passing when we both lived in San Francisco. It was a poignant and introspective journey that somehow transcended the moment into a timeless expression of pure energy.
Since then, we've had the pleasure of performing that song at various locations, including Lightning in a Bottle festival where we plan to reunite this year. The overwhelming love and support we received from the crowds were beyond anything we could have imagined. Those moments will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
Now, fast forward to the present. While I was navigating the final stages of my father's life earlier this year, Souleye sent me the mesmerizing vocals for "This Way." I was instantly moved, knowing deep down that this song possessed an extraordinary power.
Selecting the first single to share from my new album, On Magnificence, was no easy task. But after careful consideration, I knew that This Way deserved to be the chosen emissary. While most of the songs on the album exude a chill, melodic vibe, This Way stands out as an absolute banger. His masterful ability to compose flowing lyrics and deliver them with a mesmerizing flow is truly unparalleled. I'm grateful to have collaborated with such a talented artist, and I know you'll be as mesmerized by his performance as I am.
Oh, and let's not forget about the breathtaking artwork! The immensely talented Android Jones has once again created a visual masterpiece, this time offering an astonishing variation of the album cover.

lyrics

Tell me what it feels like

The long awaited
Celebrated
I know that when we
Come together
There’s a power
That’s created
High or low
Whether miracle or mystical
See they’re both the same
Focus lost almost cost
The price the one to roll the dice
Front page news
It’s cool it’s crunch time
When lost in the wild
I found my way back
Needed help from the guides and spirits
Along the path
It’s so sweet the sound of
Thunder from down under
When the rain it drops upon my heart
And feel the grief allowing it to release
Beliefs spoken into speech
My Beloved I do wonder
When the wind will blow
Upon my chest and
Where to go when walking past
An intertwining line
A time a place
In between our thoughts
And Dreams
We follow grace

Tell me what it feels like
Have you ever walked this way
Tell me what it feels like
Have you ever walked this way

Tell me what it feels like
Have you ever walked this way
Tell me what it feels like
Have you ever walked this way

I notice where we go
If it appears we go
I know it’s where we go
If it appears we go…

Tell me what it feels like

Back at it
It’s real magic
Time to unpack it
There was a lot until
There wasn’t
Abundant magnificent
Not redundant
Magical take control
Lets Go
Stay easy with it
Allowing the hips to move
On the count of two
Say Love and Gratitude
Congratulations
The portals open
And we’re going in
I got your back
No matter what
It’s how it is
Magnetic
Let’s get it
Forever said it
California we won’t forget it
If we had to go
Apparently know what it was
And probably meet you
At paradise
Yeah there it is

Tell me what it feels like
Have you ever walked this way
Tell me what it feels like
Have you ever walked this way
